With heavy hearts, the Bristol community mourns the untimely passing of JJ Brooks, a beloved son, brother, grandson, and friend whose radiant spirit touched the lives of all who knew him. JJ was a remarkable young man—creative, kindhearted, and full of life—whose presence brought warmth, laughter, and light to those around him.
JJ was deeply loved by his family, especially his twin brother AJ, his sister Tiffany, his devoted parents Jamie and Anthony, and his grandmothers Lorraine and Mary. He was also cherished by his extended family, many close friends, and his loyal bulldog, Gronk, who was always by his side. His family describes him as mischievous yet endlessly loving, a bright soul with a contagious smile that could lift anyone’s spirits.
Those who knew JJ will remember his boundless creativity and his big heart. He had a special way of making people feel seen and valued, often using humor and compassion to bring comfort to others. His sudden passing has left a profound void, not only in the hearts of his loved ones but throughout the entire Bristol, RI community.
Friends and neighbors have come together to support the Brooks family during this heartbreaking time—sharing stories, meals, and memories that remind everyone just how deeply JJ was loved. A fundraising effort has also been established to help the family with service expenses and to honor JJ’s life in a way that reflects his vibrant spirit and the love he shared so freely.
Family and friends are invited to gather and celebrate JJ’s life at Smith Funeral & Memorial Services, 8 Schoolhouse Road, Warren, RI, on Monday, November 17, 2025, from 4:00–8:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at 10:00 AM at St. Anthony of the Desert Church, 300 N Eastern Ave, Fall River, MA. Burial will take place immediately after at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol, RI.
JJ’s passing is a reminder of how precious and fragile life is. His memory will live on in every laugh, every story, and every moment shared by those who loved him. Though his time here was far too short, his spirit will forever remain a guiding light in the hearts of his family and friends.
